What is MEP Desk?
MEP Desk is a local-first workspace for building services engineers. It brings references, calculations, and project context into one desktop tool.
You keep your vault and project data on your machine. The tool helps you search, calculate, and export without cloud services or accounts.
What it does
- Search and preview references from a vault
- Link to sources and keep provenance visible
- Run calculations with explicit assumptions
- Store project context (projects, rooms, saved calcs)
- Export project packs
What it does not do
- Does not certify compliance
- Does not interpret regulations for you
- Does not generate engineering values automatically
- Does not upload data to the cloud
- Does not require accounts
How it works
- Open MEP Desk locally and select your vault folder.
- Search your references and preview sources in-app.
- Run calculators, review assumptions, and save results into projects and rooms.
- Export summaries and project packs for documentation and handover.
Outputs are assisted, not authoritative. Engineers verify results.
Where your data lives
All data stays on your machine. MEP Desk does not send anything to a server.
