How Desktop ↔ Pocket Sync Works in MEP Desk

You design in the office, then need data on site. Currently that means screenshots, printed schedules, or memory. MEP Desk's sync between Desktop and Pocket is designed to fix that — and it's coming soon.

What syncs

Project context (room data, assumptions, notes), saved calculations, to-do lists, and reference bookmarks. When you're on site with Pocket, you'll have the same room data, ventilation rates, and calculation results you had at your desk.

How it works

Local-first sync. Both devices maintain their own data. When connected, changes merge via encrypted cloud backup. Your device is always the source of truth. Your project files, calculation history, and notes stay on your devices by default — Professional users can enable cloud backup for seamless sync across devices.

Typical workflow

Design a ventilation system at your desk. Walk onto site with Pocket. Check the ACH you specified for Room 3.12. Add a note about the ceiling void being 200mm shorter than drawings. Back at your desk, the note is already there.

Coming soon

This feature is in active development. Sync is harder to build than "save to cloud" — we're doing it right, with local-first principles. Sign up for updates to be notified when Desktop ↔ Pocket sync is available.
